Dr. Gurkin and Dr. Myers share an interest in community mental health care and have worked together since their residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Services and Programs
Physician Alliance for Mental Health (PAMH) is comprised of professionals that share the desire to provide mental health and substance abuse services to individuals in the community. Dr. Brett Gurkin and Dr. Chris Myers specialize in the treatment of severe, persistent mental illness population. PAMH employs two full time psychiatrists, licensed professional associates, licensed social workers, licensed counselors, qualified professionals, associate professionals, paraprofessionals, nurses, transportation staff, and administrative support staff.
PAMH strives to provide a continuum of care to adults, children, adolescents, and families in New Hanover, Brunswick, and Pender Counties. PAMH is physician-owned and operated, and offers both basic and enhanced services.
PAMH offers services based on necessity for each individual consumer. Intakes will be set up with our Intake Coordinator to determine each individual’s needs. A Comprehensive Clinical Assessment (CCA) will be completed to determine appropriate level of care, if necessary.
